Q: I need a security clearance.

A: There are 22 different types. Some usual types include; employment, volunteer, immigration, name change, record suspension, and vulnerable sector. What kind do you need?

Q: Where do my results go?

A: Depending on the transaction, the results can either go to the institution (employer) or to the individual’s home address.

Q: Can I use my screening done last year for my previous job?

A: No. Each screening is only valid for that transaction. Fingerprints are automatically purged in the system after 1 year.

Q: Do I need fingerprinting or just a Criminal Record Check?

A: Please review your instruction letter from your employer (if applicable). Mortgage brokers, insurance agents, liquor license, rental/strata agents, and realtor agents only need a Certified Criminal Records Check (CPIC).

Q: How long do results take?

A: CPICS are provided the same day if done in our office. If done online, the timeline is approximately 10 days. Fingerprinting results are approximately 10-14 business days.
